Completely clear saved SMB settings in iOS app?

Postby howardc » 19 Jan 2018 10:07

In the latest version of VLC for iOS, once I created a SMB connection successfully, even I removed the app and install it again, the username and password were saved and I was able to make connection without enter again.

Where the settings was saved? How to remove them? :?:

That doesn’t work. You get the delete option but when pressing it, swiping it, trying 100 different things, delete doesn’t delete the SMB server info.
I’ve tried deleting the app and restarting my iPad several times.Tried cache cleaners with no luck.

Only a reset of the whole iPad cleaned out the server settings.

Since 2 updates back I can’t connect to smb anymore, nothing happens, worked fine for years.
Works in many other players and apps.
I created new servers, shares etc. since I have several computers and VLC just can connect to smb anymore. Just searching for hours.

This is happening for me as well. I was having trouble with streaming from an SMB share, so I deleted the VLC app from my iPad. Then, I updated my iPad's iOS version since it was out of date. After updating to the latest iOS, I redownloaded the VLC app, and it still had my saved SMB info from before. It also still isn't showing any of my files from the SMB share.
