Inconsistent audio.

Postby nflenz » 23 Dec 2005 04:55

Two days ago I installed Debian Sarge and VLC worked perfectly after I installed it. I installed Sarge again today to get rid of GNOME and KDE, but VLC has a strange audio problem. Every two seconds or so the audio will just stop. It only lasts for a split second, but it's extremely annoying. I don't have this problem with Xine. Everything is identical to my last install, the OS, the hardware, and even the window manager I use (window maker). What's wrong?

I'm not 100% sure, but this seems to be a bug in alsa/VLC that we're currently trying to fix.
