Adding device content to VLC 3.0

Postby audiohaynow » 14 Feb 2018 16:13

So when i launched VLC3.0 on my iPhone I was expecting it to recognize the media that i have on my phone such as videos and pictures. But it had nothing. Am i mistaken to believe that it has access to these and/or the app may not be working properly?

Thanks in advance

Current versions of VLC for iOS do not have access to media stored in the Photos app. This might follow in subsequent releases, but so far, VLC manages its own storage.

Thanks for your response any idea why VLC 3.0 still does not support chrome cast on the Mac? I thought this realease introduces that? Big reason I chose to use it. Mac OS version I am running is the most current 10.13.3 and I see nothing that allows for this feature. When I view a video there is no icon to cast

Chromecast is well supported in VLC 3.0 on the Mac. See "Renderer" in the Playback menu.
