Official VLC 3.0 Vetinari doesn't work with Chromecast ultra

Postby Patrlck » 10 Feb 2018 16:56

3.0.0 Connects to Chromecast But Doesn't Play

Postby jamesmusik » 10 Feb 2018 18:40

Using 3.0.0 on Windows 10 to cast to a second-gen Chromecast

Playing an MP3, the Chromecast connects and displays the album art and a progress bar, then plays about two seconds of the song before stopping. Playing video files, there's similarly the poster art and a progress bar, but it never starts playing.

Only thing in the log is this:
gnutls error: Certificate verification failure: The certificate is NOT trusted. The certificate issuer is unknown. The name in the certificate does not match the expected.
gnutls: Accepting self-signed/untrusted CA certificate.
