Mouse Cursor - visible

Postby Gotcha » 19 Jan 2018 09:44

I have read previous post, and have tried their suggestions, but still on full screen my mouse pointer is visible, and does not hide.

I have updated to the newest version, also tried both x64 and x86. I don't have utorrent installed, and Task Manager is not running.
Also I have changed the hide intervals.....still no success.

Anything else I can do?

When you say newest version you mean VLC 3.0 ?

I've had this same problem since updating to the windows creator's update. The only thing you can do is move the mouse cursor off to the side after going fullscreen,

Not version 3.0 but 2.2.8 as per download page.
Forgot to mention, this is on Windows 10, redstone 3.

Been putting the cursor in the corner, but get irritating after a while lol

Please try with a nightly build of VLC 3.0 Release Candidate. It should work. And if not please report back.

I'm in the same boat as you, updated Windows a few days ago and now the cursor won't go away. I found that if you press "i" to toggle the controls visibility, then my cursor goes away too, sometimes you gotta press "i" more than once.

Can you link which one you used? I tried a few but whenever I would play something, the audio would play as a high screeched, distorted noise.

The great problem with 3.0 / 4.0 DEV is that if VLC "drops" a video stream, or receive garbage frames, not a local file, but a stream url, it does not reprise playing video, but gives you garbage video forever and pixelixed video. You have to manually stop/restart stream with stop/play button. 2.2.8 reprises video as well when encounters garbage. This is a big problem, for me.

Also having sound issues with the 3.0 build. And no matter what I do on certain video's it stays the same, super load, and can't control it via the volume.
Do hope an official build will soon fix these problems.
