VLC no longer works. Will not play anything.

Have used VLC for years with no problems. Nothing has changed on my computer yet every video I drop into VLC will not play.
The little wheel turns and turns but VLC is unresponsive. I have reloaded VLC but no luck. I have no idea why this has happened.

Hi... what version of Mac OS are you running on? Also, what version of VLC? How is the health of your Mac and it's hard drive? Do the same files open with other programs, such as Quicktime Player?

Same problem here, nothing plays anymore, just beach balls and have to kill the app. Getting fed up with all these bugs.

Notices that iTunes was "not responding", force quit that then VLC began playing videos again.

Try updating to VLC 3.0 rc.
