Audio play disturbed by other activity

Postby xerxes » 28 Oct 2017 19:59

Audio playback is getting disturbed by internet activity. I don't use i.e for much of anything but I have a very new install of win10 on a pretty high performance box. I just installed VLC and every time I make any movement action on i.e, the application stutters and stops until whatever page is loading stops loading. Click on anything and this stuttering of the audio file will occur.

This could be that web pages contain heavy duty videos and javascript. Advertisement tends to be main culprit.

In VLC, under the Tools menu, go to Preferences, and in the lower left, where it says Show Settings, click on All. This should display a settings tree. At the top is Advanced. Make sure Advanced is highlighted, and at the right, there should be a performance setting to increase the priority of the process. I always have that option checked.

It might not fix the problem, but it isn't going to hurt.
