Sound volume suddenly very low

Postby Darrylp » 17 Oct 2017 01:48

Overnight the sound volume has dropped dramatically on my PC using Windows 10 64bit.
It's not a video card or other problem as if I use iTunes or Windows Media Player the volume is as expected.
I'm not sure if this is as a result of a Windows update but any help would be much appreciated.
Currently running 2.2.6 Umbrella as my default player.
Thanks
Darryl

I don't have Windows 10, but the first place I would check is the mixer on Volume Control. In my systray there is a Volume Control icon that looks like a small speaker. I would single click on that and then click on mixer. Run VLC with something that produces audio and see if the level for VLC in mixer is set low.
