The previous VLC 2.8.0.ipa file? I have it. I'll PM you.SAME problem!
I’m so frustrated because I’m on the iOS 11 beta program and since my iPad automatically updates its apps. It updated to 2.8.1. The 2.8.0 or keep just fine for me on the beta program but the 2.8.1 is completely useless because it won’t let me fast forward to the middle of the video. It just stops playing the video whenever I try to skip forward through any part of the video.
Does anyone have the ipa file for god 2.8.0. I desperately need it to continue my work but I can’t find it and the 2.7.8. Is not compatible with the beta system. I don’t want to downgrade back to iOS 10 just because of this trash.
Another iOS 7.1.2 (iphone 5s) user here, who cannot play mp4/mkv/mp3 on app or streaming in 2.8.x so far, but glad to see a fix is underway soon. This was the first time I seriously considered alternatives to VLC, and I did not like what I found out there, so thankful to not have to switch!Hello,
Sorry for being so unresponsive on the forum.
A quick status update on what we will address in the 2.8.2 update which will be submitted for review today:What will not make it in this update because it requires more detailed changes?
- Fixes an unexpected playback termination of H.264 content after a few minutes
- Fixes playback of 10bit H.264 content
- Fixes a crash when discovering UPnP devices on the local network
- Restored playback on iOS 7
- Dropbox support is no longer an option on iOS 7 and iOS 8
- General stability improvements and bug fixes
Regarding RTMP, if you have a publicly accessible test stream for me, you would be very welcome to share it with me using a PM.
- FTP playback
- RTMP playback
Let me know if you have further important issues that need to be addressed with high priority, notably regressions from 2.7.8.
