Subtitles below the movie (not working anymore)

Hi All,

I tried to get my subtitles below the movie (in the black box) by using croppad filter and also by using "force subtitles". Both used to work in the past but suddenly it does not work anymore.

I can move the subtitles around the screen but only on the "movie screen" not in the black area I would like to have them below the movie in the black area.

Did i miss anything?

Subtitles are a part of the image, this is by design and there is nothing you can do.
If you had subtitles in a black bar that means the video was encoded with those black bars, which is not something good to do.
