VLC UDP memeory leak

Postby wlarsong » 13 Dec 2005 15:26

I am streaming a capture card from my PC to my Laptop on my LAN (UDP stream) and when I launch VLC the memeory usage in windows XP is 16 Megabytes of usage.

As I begin to recieve the stream there are no problems at all but the memeory usage of VLC keeps increaseing and become so large it eventually chrashes when it reaches 30 megabytes of RAM usage. Any Ideas as how to prevent this from happening. Or what it Happening.

I am using Mpeg-TS Encapsulation at 192 Kbps and 64 Kpbs Audio MPV and MPA.

I found that minimizing VLC would make the memory usage drop to a reasonable level on Win computers. See if it works for you.
