As far as I remember, nsv is only a wrapper for various codecs (audio/video compression methods). This wrapper and some basic codecs are supported, but not all of them, because they are proprietary and no suitable open-source decoder exists. So, there isn't anything you could do to get this running, except by using WinAmp.
