XB1: Choose Aspect Ratio?

Postby Resend » 26 Jul 2017 10:28

How can i change the Aspect Ratio on XB1? The first time i played a MKV File via SMB, the File played with the correct Aspect Ratio of 16:9. If i now try to play the same file again, its displayed in 4:3. How can change this back to 16:9?

Hi,

When playing a video, click on the icon on the left of the volume slider (bottom right of control bar). This opens the "Player Settings", where you can set the aspect ratio/zoom. Press "A" and choose the option you want.

There I have only 4 choices, "Best fit", Horizontal Cropping, Vertical Cropping and Stretch. There is no 16:9 Setting.

Right, you're probably still on version 2.3.x of the app. We're in the process of pushing 2.5.x which contains the 16:9 option.
You should get it soon, stay tuned.

Yeah the Store does not show this info, for no apparent good reason.

Made a How-To just for you ;)
