Subtitles problem: doesn't like DEMUX_GET_TIME->EOF

Postby taekat » 13 Dec 2005 00:23

Ok,

It's driving me nuts. Here's what happened. I came home from work and downloaded a 2 cd .srt subtitle file for the movie The Myth(2005) which I was looking forward to wathcing. And decided to test it out before dinner. It worked, English subtitles, it was great.

After dinner all I get is the same error over and over again. Now no subtitles work, .idx/.sub or .srt .. I get the same error:

main: slave[0] doesn't like DEMUX_GET_TIME->EOF

Then when I seek I get this error

main: seek failed for slave 0 -> EOF

So I don't know what this means. I searched the forum and found a few other posts that contained the same error but no solutions.

I've unclicked autodetect subtitles
I've Command+Shift+O the file and loaded the subtitles
I've opened the file and then loaded the subtitles
I've changed the demux codec and fiddled around with the subtitles codec

Nothing works and I can't view subtitles at all

Please help me

I had Kim-bob and Mandu and Rice. South Korean dishes. the latter is nothing special but the other two are delicious - machita.

For the sake of clarification, I'm teaching English in South Korea.

Anyways ... does anyone know the root of this problem?

Try resetting your prefs. And you always need to select the .idx files in case of .idx/.sub
Don't use PMs for support questions.
