Seriously you guys are killing us here. I tried latest nightly build of x64 and x32. The issue is with split .rar/.r00/.r01 etc files that contain mkv container in it. I can't stream them right into my Chromecast. It works on old VLC version, but it does not contain the Renderer feature!

I need to play split archives on older FAT32 systems that do not support 4GB or higher files. Now I have to buy a new harddrive because VLC is cockblocking it with this circlejerk.

Also I found related topic that contains logs etc https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... &hilit=rar no solution.

Cheers

I don't think they ever will get 3.0 back to the quality of 2.2.5. Only thing that is better in 3.0 is HEVC hardware decoding. So many things doesn't work correctly. No Split Rar support. Scrolling to change volume only goes 5% per second even if you scroll like hell. When you press play there's silence for 1-2 seconds. Many codecs doesn't work in 3.0 (Cinepak for example). Seeking in HEVC streams buffers the whole file from the beginning (hope you have a fast harddrive to seek in a ~30gb files). I could go on forever. You should really not use 3.0.
