Problem scrolling - can't exit fast scroll

I have a lot of files in a directory. When I scroll very fast VLC appears to enter a fast scroll mode. Dots appear on the right side of the screen with a light white color around one. OK so far. The problem is that when I get to the file I need I can't exit the fast scroll to select the file. There is no way to highlight the file. The dot is highlighted. I have tried clicking the touch pad, pressing play and even using gestures with the Apple remote. HELP!!! What obvious thing am I missing? This behavior just started. I am guessing it came with an update to the app.

Same problem here... my daughter succeed to exit it sometime but i can't figured how she did it

Any resolve of this??? The scroll feature really makes this Apple TV app unusable.

I'm also having the same problem. Can't get back across to make selections, stuck on the scroll. Not really helpful.

I've tried to find information online and this forum is the only place that mentions the problem.

You can scroll slowly on the left side but it is a slow task and hard not to accidentally go into the fast scroll mode. Where once again you will be stuck and have to get out of the APP and back in to try again.

I've been pressing buttons and swiping every way but can not make this work. It may need to be reviewed and patched for a fix.

I may have to submit a job to the admins.

Has anyone here got a solution yet??

Yes this has been happening for awhile now. Admins please expedite a fix for this as it is very annoying.

Wow. Now it is near the end of June and still no resolution. Anyone know another app for playing files off of a server? VLC made my Apple TV my goto device but not any more.
