Hi guys, I would just like to know if downloading content from a media server is possible just to bypass the whole plug in your phone and do the transfer way.

If not, can we expect a feature like this in the feature?

I'm doing some lobbying on VLC core team to make them implement it in LibVLC.
It should be OK for VLC 4.0. So not before the end of the year :s

But that's a feature I especially want in vlc-android.
