Extract first frame from video

I need to scan through folders containing .mp4 files, extract the first frame from each .mp4 as a .jpg, name that extracted file as <mp4 filename without the mp4 extension>.jpg, and place it in the same folder as the original .mp4
Can this be automated to any degree?
I would be grateful for any help that may be offered.

I am using version 2.2.4 on Windows 10.
