How to re-stream network streams?

I enter url in Open Network Stream. Sometimes picture is frozen. I assume stream is buffering or some disruption of streaming.
I tried to click (lower left corner) Play/Pause button to "re-stream" but don;t work.
I have to close vlc and try streaming again.

Is there any ways to pause, re-start net work streams in vlc?
