I have a friend that love movies and have in a folder 317 movies, pending to watch. He use always VLC Media Player.
The problem is, after 1 month you don't remember well the summary of the movie and you need help.
I think, VideoLAN could try to find and automate this information.
Let's imagine I have the file...

Okay... to get the international title you only have to search in Google

If your search include the words imdb (internet movie database), automatically you get the international title

If you do the same in french...

Automatically you get the movie title in english...

With this information, you can access directly to the imdb website, and download:
Movie summary
Picture
And movie cast (actors working in it)
It would be amazing I could activate an option in VLCMedia Player that says
[ ] Find bill-board and information
Automatically, when you double click in a file, for example: Siège_de_Jadotville.mp4 or Siège_de_Jadotville.avi
VLC Media Player takes the file name, search it in imdb and get the information. So you can decide if you will like the movie to watch it today or not
This feature is like many audio players, downloading the covers for the music automatically, however, here we do it with movies and also showing information.
