corrupt module libqt4_plugin.so on opensuse 42.1 LEAP

Postby schlabs » 11 Aug 2016 14:48

Hi, i have compurter with the following characteristic:
Hardware: AMD athlon dual core 4ghz, 2gb ram, AMD r230 video card, 1Tb disk space.

Software:a opensuse 42.1 LEAP running TDE trinity, but also is installed kde5, and kde5 applications can run under TDE.
Also i have installed google chrome ( i add this comment because googling find some incompatibility).

The VLC does not work with the following fail.

Code: Select all

$ vlc VLC media player 2.2.4 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.3-37-g888b7e89) [0000563fe24110b8] core libvlc: Ejecutar vlc con la interfaz predeterminada. Use «cvlc» para usar vlc sin interfaz. [0000563fe25390b8] core interface error: corrupt module: /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/gui/libqt4_plugin.so [00007f46a8032f48] core generic error: corrupt module: /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/gui/libqt4_plugin.so [0000563fe25390b8] skins2 interface error: no suitable dialogs provider found (hint: compile the qt4 plugin, and make sure it is loaded properly) [0000563fe25390b8] skins2 interface error: cannot instantiate qt4 dialogs provider [0000563fe25390b8] [cli] lua interface: Listening on host "*console". VLC media player 2.2.4 Weatherwax Command Line Interface initialized. Type `help' for help. > quit Shutting down. [0000563fe25390b8] [cli] lua interface: Requested shutdown.
I try upgrade to 2.2.4.227.1 but the problem still persist.
I try delete the ~/.config/vlc/vlcrc file, and the problem persist.

Any clue to solve the problem will be appreciated

Did you try vlc from the packman repository ? Read more details http://www.cio.com/article/3003865/open ... p-421.html

If you have problems with vlc 2.2.x you might try vlc 3.0 - use vlc-beta and vlc-beta-codecs instead of vlc and vlc-codecs .
Be sure, that you install all vlc and needed video libraries from packman

Are you sure, that you have assigned the packman repository in a correct way -
please check e.g. http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packm ... ls/x86_64/

You should read also https://oyox.de/238-kurzer-tipp-vlc-wie ... n-bewegen/

It gives you an overview, how to change to the "new" vlc repository (Packman)
