Crash/Hang on windows 10

Ok, I just upgraded to windows 10, vlc was working ok on 7, now it just starts up, shows the first frame of the show, and sits there.

Its hung, as I have to actually go to task manager and kill the process to get rid of it, saying Quit from the taskbar does nothing.

Is there a log or something I can post?

Try the followings;

1. Uninstall vlc and reinstall cleanly.
2. Reset preferences and clear cache.
