Videos stops playing, can skip though the video just fine.

Videos stops playing, can skip though the video just fine.

Hi guys,

Don't really know where else to go for help. I downloaded some anime the other day and it has been fine up to episode 100. When trying to watch it, the video starts just fine but then VLC
stops playing. I'd say at approx .15 secs into the video.I am still able to skip though the video, the footage is their but it can't play continuously. I'm not sure if this is a type of corruption or something I'm not doing right with VLC.

All of the videos are .MKV

In the messages area of VLC, I get this:

mkv error: Dummy Element at unexpected position... corrupted file?
mkv error: Dummy element too large or misplaced at 14286971... skipping to next upper element
mkv error: This element is outside its known parent... upping level

I know this has been posted before but I was unsure of the solution last time. I did try resetting my preferences. It didn't help.

Does anyone have anything to try? Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you try a new 3.0 nightly build?
