Hi
Just got my Apple TV and installed VLC. I see various networked PC's and reference to SMB and then empty folders. Can someone talk me through how to set up the PC (Windows 10) so that I could play movies from my HD. I have no experience of SMB but feel sure there has to be a way so that I do not have to load my movies via ITunes. Maybe I need an idiots guide to using VLC on Apple TV. I also see on VLC on the PC reference to Samba, user name and pwd but that's all I know.
