I listen to a local Public Radio Station (PBS) broadcast from www.wyso.org. It will no longer play on"VLC Media Player 2.0.5 Twoflower" when I enter its new URL into VLC's "Open location from clipboard" text box. Below is the Q/A transcript of a dialog I had with the broadcast technician, who gave me a new URL (it did not work), and referred me to VLC for further guidance.
I will be very grateful to learn of a fix to my problem, and will gladly submit a US $10.00 donation for some help. Here's the transcript ...

Original QUESTION
=============
Hi WYSO internet radio,
I used to listen to WYSO news programs using "VLC Media
Player 2.0.5 Twoflower" on my PC. The reason is that I can
boost the sound to 2X, which is needed (for reasons
unknown) on some broadcasts. Recently, you made some
changes to your URL, and now VLC won't recognize it.
Instead, WYSO is misdirected to Windows Media Player. So
my question is, on my Windows 7 PC using Internet Explorer
11, how do I restore VLC's ability to recognize WYSO's URL? I
have a copy of NirSoft's "File Types Manager", so I should be
able to make the necessary changes to which URL(s) are
properly directed to WYSO.
I tried to play the URL "http://wyso.org/#stream/0", but this did not work.
Kind regards,
RetiredEngineer

Hi RetiredEngineer,
Thanks for reaching out to TuneIn regarding your experience.
Were you referring to the WYSO 91.3 FM stream ...
If yes, the streams has not been updated for more than a
year now and the TuneIn page should let you play the
content without having to download it. You may need to
contact VLC support in order to get further answers as to
how it can be the default player for streams.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Enrique
