I am looking at creating an Electron based app that would display the video from VLC, mainly as a way to experiment with creating a VLC UI using web technologies. Has anyone tried this? At the moment I am looking at the following module, but it segfaults on me, on MacOS X, so I'll need to investigate a bit more:

Providing logs, messages, configuration info (VLC, OS, Hardware) and a clear explanation of the issue always helps the problem solvers help you, even if they don't end up solving the issue.
