I'm trying to get information about audio format from a video using libvlc for android ( i mean mp3, or AC3 or DTS) anyone can help me to find the right way to do it?

Unfortunately everything is related to C API and I am working on Android. I already compiled libvlc for android but 99 % of the function are not availbale from the libvlc for android an example is the MediaList which looking at android source is useless
