Where is the replay function of VLC

I was wondering where I could find the replay function for restarting the video/movie at the same point where I left it after having closed VLC ? So to be clear I'm nothing talking about the replay function while playing a video.

vlc term is "continue playback".

You need to reopen the same file / network location. It asks you at the top of the window if you want to resume.
