VLC for IOS version 2.7.6 (276.2)
I have created some MKV files from a blu-ray using Handbrake. The MKV includes the original English audio and subtitle tracks. If I have subtitles enabled in VLC for iOS on my iPad, then VLC crashes at the point the first subtitle would appear. If I disable subtitles, then it's fine. On VLC for Windows the same file plays without problems whether subtitles are enabled or not.
Is this a known problem for which a fix might be on the way? Googling suggests that it has come up in the past but was thought to have been fixed?? Alternatively, Is there a different way to incorporate subtitles into the MKV which won't cause VLC to crash?
Thanks,
Pete
