Apple TV and m3u8

Postby tillepille » 29 Apr 2016 10:39

I got an Apple TV a month ago and i use it mostly with vlc to play media from a QNAP NAS via smb.
In the beginning i also could play .m3u8 files with the atv from the nas, since two weeks or so i don't see these files anymore.
I also don't see .m3u files.
I'm guessing, its related to the last update of the app but i can't be the only one who has these problems.

It works fine with VLC on a mac but not on iOS.
Does somebody have an idea?
Already made a new share on this qnap and copied the files to a time caps. Still: I don't see them.
FTP works neither.
Hope you can help me!

That's because of filtering we introduced recently to only show "playable" files on shares and apparently "m3u8" was not white listed :/

So should i make a bug report about it or will you fix it on the next update?
.m3u & .m3u8 are not showing up..
But thanks anyway for the quick reply, that helped to understand!
