Vlc behind a NAT

Postby G[3z] » 25 Nov 2005 17:53

Hi all, i have 2 mac behind an Openbsd 3.8 whitch work as a NAT, i can't see udp streems (even if i have opened all ports o used the binat rule, just for testing) becouse of "main: cannot pre fill buffer" error whereas, connecting the mac directly to the net they are perfectly shown. what can i do?
A solution i was thinking was to re-stream videos(since sources have fixed addresses) from the bsd, is it crazy ? (well i can't really have vlc to run on it, maybe becouse of X11, i don't have? but that's another story)

thanks everyone for your time!

Hello,

You can either set up some portforwarding on the NAT, or use VLC on the bsd to restream. You don't need X to run VLC, it can work only in command line mode. Please have a look at the documentation for more insights on these topics.
