NOOB: Transcoding DVD language ?

Postby numaq » 20 Nov 2005 20:01

Hi, I try to transcode a DVD and everything is fine (got video and audio in a small mp4 file) BUT the audio channel is not the one i need.

I want to transcode and have the french audio channel of the DVD, but the only thing I've got (in the final mp4 file) seems to be the default language channel of the DVD.

So, is it possible to use a module /option to select the audio channel used by the transcode process ?

Asking it another way:

I want to transcode the audio channel 4, not the default audio channel. How can I do ?

See: viewtopic.php?t=13746 for info about using alternative subtitle/audio tracks in playlists...

But basically to specify an alternative audio channel you use:
:audio-track=1 or :audio-track=2 or :audio-track=3 etc in the command to play the video.

So:

dvd://D:/ :audio-track=1

Should do the trick.

Thansk for the help.
Sometimes it's ok, sometimes not... :( (the sound is desactivated) when playing the DVD with this option.
