I Want To Stream Behind The Firewall But...

Postby bishamon » 25 Nov 2005 07:44

Hello. :D

Basically, here's the setup: a remote server and a client behind a firewall.
The client will be the source of the stream that the server will stream out.

I can actually do this right now but I have to tweak my router's configuration and "bind" a specific port to my computer.

But can I do this without tweaking anything in the router?

Or, simply put, I want to push my stream on the server's particular port.
Like, can I make the server to listen to a specific port and my local vlc application connects to it. Then the server outputs the stream to another port where the world can view my stream.

Can this be done?

Thanks y'all,
Bishamon :?
