VLC Splitscreen, controls blocked by SmartKeyboard

Hello all,
This is a "bug report" of sorts for the VLC for iOS app, latest version running on iPad Pro 12.9" running iOS 9.3.1.
When I have VLC and a note taking app, or any other window that requires entry of text, the predictive text box will block the controls for the video that is playing, causing me to have to press the button to hide this and allow access to controls again.
If possible, can you put a trigger on the controls that makes them move up from the bottom of the screen to a bit higher so that they are not hidden by predictive text?

Ouch, looks like we need to get that keyboard for testing purposes.

We finally got the keyboard, but I'm not quite sure when I'll find the time to look into it, so I created ticket 16942
