Videos won't play right if added to playlist

I have video files (.FLV) that I would like to make a playlist of, but they keep messing up whenever I add them to the list....
This is strange because if I just play the video on it's own there is no issue, but if it is added to a playlist the image gets all skewed, and unwatchable.
I thought at first it was the video file being corrupted, but as I said, it plays fine by itself, it just refuses to be added to a playlist without going crazy on me.
Is there something that could be causing this please??
