Ouch. Then, I need to re-investigate. I hoped that this was fixed.
Can you share the file type and codecs used by the original media you uploaded to your NAS? I guess it is something Twonky transcodes to deliver it to clients.
Do an "About VLC for iOS" and you'll see the version, in my current case: 2.7.4 (274.3).MP4 using x264.
I tried a couple of files from different sources.
BTW, I'm not sure what (272.4) refers to in the subject line nor am I using Twonky (???). I am trying to download via wifi from a couple of NAS' (synology & dlink). This used to work really well until one of the recent updates. I hope I'm in the right thread.
It is the exact same issue. I only came back to this thread to let the author know that 274.3 did not fix it. Which you had already done! Thanks!
I do see the extensionless file from iTunes (in the file-sharing window) after the wifi download completes. And renaming the file to add .mp4 does fix the problem. But that defeats the purpose of the wifi download.
Hope this is helpful. (Apologies if I'm in the wrong thread. The behaviour is so similar, it seems related.)
