Newbie problem

Postby Allie_Taylor » 27 Jan 2016 03:10

There might a very easy fix for my issue ( :D ). I'm running El Capitan on an iMac- tons of space available. I've been able to load VLC but when I pop a DVD in, it's pushed right back out-as an unsuitable format (or whatever - I can't remember the exact wording, sorry). Any ideas?

I don't think this is a VLC issue as I don't even get that far...anyone having the same thing?

Many thanks!

VLC can't push out DVDs. Are you sure it's a DVD and not a Bluray? If it is a DVD, please see with Apple for support as it will be a problem with your drive.

It's actually a known issue with El Capitan and optical drives believe it or not.
