Comments on setting up a videoLAn thingy

Hi,

GOAL: to enable 50+ people view TV channels on thier PC's, via a network with as little outlay moneywise as possible:-)

In my mind I have a server (Prob Linux) that would run your VideoLAN server software and VLC would be run on the clients PC's/Laptops in thier bedrooms/living rooms.

How many Digital freeview cards would one have to put into the server to stream all the free2air channels available, one / channel?

Its basically so we don't have to wire coax all over the place to each room, when in each room cat5 is in place.
