CPU at 100%

Postby Supercorp » 24 Jan 2016 20:33

Hello,
I use VLCKit inside my tvOs app and with 2.7.2, I've got a lot of freeze and what I saw is that the AppleTv cpu is up to 100%. The process which takes all the CPU ressources is h264 decoding.
Are you aware of this or do you want or need some more details from me ?

Thanks.
Supercorp.

We are not aware of that and we need more information about the played media as well as an Instruments analysis.

Impressive, thanks for sharing the traces. The used H264 profile is definitely supported, too. :/

Can you share an excerpt of the sample file with us on http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ ?

Thanks!

Yep, thanks! I couldn't check it thoroughly yet, as my Apple TV is currently some 9500km away :)

Will do next week.

Hello,
Face to this problem, do you recommend me to use the master branch with videotoolbox inside ?

Thanks

For information, I've tried with VLCKit 3.0 and the same file and the result is the same... so CPU is more than 100% and FPS go down to about 10.
Thanks

Sorry i got questions about v3.0
How to enable Videotoolbox it seems disable ?
How can I check if it's enabled ?

Thanks
