Howdy!
First post..
My 'problem' with VLC V2.2.1 not creating a directory nor desktop/Dock icon (need to 'launch after install!)
Hardware/OS...I have a:
- MACBook PRO,
- Intel 2.5Ghz Core 7,
-16GB Memory,
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB video.
- OS is OS X El Capitan V 10.11.2
Procedure:
- FRESH (never downloaded nor installed before) download V2.2.1
- Open/run the "dmg" file
- Unpack/install proceeds and completes successfully
- must then 'click' on the "dmg' file on the desktop then on the VLC app icon to 'run'/load/open the VLC viewer/player.
Attempted solution:
- create 'directory' called VLC
- locate the 'dmg' file in the 'download' directory
- open the 'dmg' file to 'view'
- copy files to VLC Directory created above
- NOW I can see and click on the VLC app.
- NOW i can create an 'app' alias... and place in Dock or Desktop or both.
Questions..
1-What process did I do incorrectly?
2-Why is there no 'directory' or Icon created for use of VLC?
Respectfully submitted....
