Vlc passcode

Guys, I updated the latest vlc app for iOS. Now it is asking for a passcode to unlock. I've never set a passcode for vlc. Yesterday I was able to access it but after updating, it's asking for a passcode to enter. Can someone help??? Thanks

I am experiencing the same problem. It is definitely the update. I could resolve the error by loading an older backup. As soon as you update the error will reoccur. Please help!

This problem affects a small number of users and will be resolved in 2.7.1, which we will submit for review once Apple is back from the holidays (Dec 29). The actual release date is out of our hands.

Regrettably, there doesn't seem to be a work-around for people affected by this problem, as reinstalling the app does not seem to help (for non-understood reasons).

Even the latest update from today does not resolve the error. I tried deleting and reinstalling several times - no effect!

Dear Felix,
The passcode issue has not been solved in the latest version also. I deleted the app and reinstalled it again and again to check if the passcode bug is solved. Nothing has changed. Plz fix ASAP.

The 2.7.1 update hasn't worked for me either. Asking for a passcode with one not set. I could get access with Apple touch but was problematic when trying to close apps so I turned that setting off inside the vlc app. Now there is no way for me to get into vlc

We are re-investigating the issue at the moment and can't reproduce it on any of our devices.

To make sure that we fix it correctly, it would be awesome if some of you could test a beta to check if it's gone or not.
