1.7.0 Audio Loses Place

Postby caseyb » 07 Dec 2015 23:19

When I am listening to an audio file and I pause it, after a few minutes it loses it's place. For example, on the way to work I like to listen to am .mp3 of a radio program that's a few hours in length. When I get to work, I pause the player, let's say at 1:34:09, and unplug the headphones. After a few minutes, the icon is missing from the top of my phone screen and the mini player on the lock screen is no longer there when I tap the power button on my phone. I have to reopen VLC, and when I do, the place it was paused at is lost and I have to manually try to find where I left off. Usually (pre 1.7.0 update) it stays there all day until I plug my headphones back in after work, unless I use another app on my phone that seems to boot VLC off (Netflix, CBS All Access, HBO Go etc.) It seems like it's losing its cache or something. Anybody experience the same issue or know how to fix it?

yes I'm having this problem too, I wish VLC would remember the last position because I listen to lots of podcasts, please implement this VLC.

we need this VLC, just like you added the feature to remember video position, add it for audio.

Indeed. I can have multiple video files in the library and it remembers where all of them were left off at. I'm not a developer so I don't know exactly how complicated it would be to implement this for audio files, but if they can do it for video then why not audio?

it seems no VLC people are here to read our requests, they'll just create the software they desire, all we can do is wish some of our requested features become available.
