Did you try to delete the preferences ?
Did you change something at your System ?

Hi! I am new in using VLC Media Player, and I am facing the same problems too.

I tried to play a few of the MKV Files, and a few are alright, but the newly downloaded ones have NO Images, but with Audio/Sound only!

Will really appreciate, it someone out there can advise me with a solution ... ...

Many thanks in advance, and regret for any inconveniences caused.

Have a nice day, and best regards.[/color]

Yeah, I'm getting it too. Getting audio, but have a blue screen.
I haven't changed anything. Haven't installed anything between the time it was working and now.
It was working fine 2, maybe 3 days ago, but today, I can't get it to work.
I tried reinstalling VLC, but still, no luck.
If anyone has any ideas, they'd be appreciated.
