Play high resolution video

Postby evgryt » 12 Aug 2015 16:19

Hello everyone! I have a device with Cortex A9 Dual Core 1.5G / 1 GB RAM / 8GB ROM / GPU: Mali-400 MP / OpenGL ES 2.0. And I want to play ultra hd videos. But my video is flickering, a lot of frames not showing, always I have this output:

avcodec decoder: More than 4 late frames, dropping frame

If I set HW_ACCELERATION_FULL, then video doesn't play in general and VLC crashes.
It seems like my device is slow.
Can I set some additional options to play hd videos? Can anyone help me? I need playback exactly on this device.

I'm not sure if VLC can support playing ultra hd videos smoothly, the possible solution I know is to reduce the resolution to VLC accepted level.

The highest resolution, that VLC can play on my device is 1280*720. But even with these parameters video playback with flickering,
