skin problem

Hello I have configured my vlc with that command

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-wxwidgets --enable-debug --enable-optimize-memory --enable-debug --enable-release --enable-sout --enable-livedotcom --enable-dvbpsi --enable-v4l --enable-dvb --enable-x264 --disable-skin2


so I disable skin 2 but when I run vlc I have Bigben skin and this message:

when I run dvb from command line I have video and audio everything works fine but I can not do anything with the skin.

During configuration I have message that wx-config unicode is not founded and I don't have that kind of file on my computer.
I have read that I could try to reset configuration in ./vlc/vlcrc file but I can not find it as well.

please help me

To disable skins2, you need to use --disable-skins2, not --disable-skin2.
The skins doesn't work because it relies on the wxWidgets plugin for the dialog boxes. And this plugin is not working for you (and probably not even compiled, if you had errors in the configure step).

Ok. I change skin2 on skins2 and I have still the same problem.
I don't have any errors during configuration. One warning but it is not about wxwidget.
And strange is that I had had the typyical skin and everything worked fine but after restart computer I have the bigben skin.
So whad do you say for that ??

Can I somehoe change the skin from command line?

I really doubt that you still have the skins2 interface if you configured with --disable-skins2 and compiled again. At least in your compilation tree. But if you have done 'make install' when the skins were compiled, it's normal that the skins2 plugin is still installed on your system. What is the output of 'locate libskins2-plugin.so'?

Concerning wxWidgets, do you have a libwxwidgets_plugin.so in your compilation tree? It should be in ./modules/gui/wxwidgets/.
if so, do you get a warning about unresolved symbols when you run './vlc -vv -I wx'?

I dont have wxWidgets folder in ./modules/gui instead i have wxwindows folder....
and have "libwxwindows_plugin.so", in wxwindows.....

when i did './vlc -vv -I wx' i got following thing(I have highlighted the warnings)

Hum, how old is the VLC you are using? The --enable-skins switch didn't exist anymore in VLC-0.8.2. Anyway...

[00000001] main vlc warning: cannot load module `modules/gui/wxwindows/libwxwindows_plugin.so' (libwx_gtk2_xrc-2.6.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

This simply means that your system is not configured correctly to use wxWindows. The most common problem is that you forgot to add /usr/local/lib in ld.so.conf. Make sure to run ldconfig (as root) after updating it.
