Trouble playing avi file

I have an animation file (avi) produced in Turbofloorplan ver 16 that doesn't play in VLC. I get to see the opening frame then the video flicks off. How can I overcome this?

Problem solved - it was the impatient user not the software that was at fault. Re-ran recording and all is well.
