Dislpay current stream's network speed?

Is there any way to display the download speed (bandwidth) of a network stream?

Ctrl+I or Ctrl+J then click on the Statistics tab.

Sorry, I just realized I wasn't clear enough. I meant display it automatically when the stream is playing, similar to how the "time elapsed" is always displayed in the status bar.
