Hello,
Thanks for an outstanding, amazing videoplayer.
Have been using VLC for ... ages!
With that said, VLC was the absolute #1 choice when i got my NAS (D-LINK DNS-320L) and added some Anime to it.
Enabled UPnP on the NAS and everything is working. VLC finds the NAS and plays the video i select.
However, if you watch anime, or any serie that you follow, you get tired of the intro all the time.
So, You fast forward.
I did the same when i was watching yesterday, on my iphone, on my local network.
What happens is, when i fast forward, it buffers a while (reasonable) plays 0.500 ms and then stutters, and it stutters all the time.
I tried pausing it, waiting 30 s, playing again. Still stuttering.
I thought this was a problem on my NAS, i was like "VLC cant be the problem, right?".
I tried my other app "FileExplorer", it could also play video-files. So i started playing the anime from that app, and i fast forwarded, worked seamlessly. No stuttering what so ever.
But, i'd like to use VLC for this, but since i cant fast forward, i wonder, why??
If other apps, + PC + PS4 can do it, then its not NAS fault. Which was my first thought.
Is there any development on this ? Is it a known bug? Please enlighten me, i have no problem waiting for a new app.
If this is a new bug, how can i help you debug it? (There is a said log-file in VLC, however, i cant find it).
BR
Stefan
