Lag video playback Windows 10

So today I upgrade my PC to Windows 10 and latest VLC and when I try to stream a movie in 1080p or 720p the video looks awful choppy and I can't watch it. I would drop a screenshot so you guys can see what I talking about, I tried changing the option of Hardware acceleration but that doesn't work.

With Windows 7 was working fine.

Hi, just supporting you ; I have the same problem with newly installed windows 10 and VLC media player. My movies made on Windows movie maker plays in jerks or steps as if alternate pieces of information are somehow missing. The reason I downloaded the VLC m. p. is because the movies would only occasionally start on Windows media player or run with no video and with stuttering audio in the background !! ??

Hello,
I have the same problem.
I updated with Windows 10 .
if I keep the VLC window in the foreground, it works, no problems.
if I let turn the empty and that I selects a 3D game windows (for example) , this jerk !
This does not come from the PC performance.
because if I run a virtual machine ( VMware , and Windows 7) , I run my video in, I my window selects games, video continues to work well ....
Curious is not it ?

Hi Guys

I have downloaded and installed windows10 without any issue. I have downloaded deleted and re installed VLC . But both programmes when playing movies/ dvds hesitate . Very disconcerting. VLC played perfectly on Windows 7.

Ok Now I have seen many problems going on when using VLC on Windows 10. I guess we really need a New version for this New O.S.

I cannot use it to play .FLAC music myself.

Hi everyone.
I upgraded my system to windows 10 & now VLC player crashes every few minutes.

Sometimes while watching movies or even short video clips there is lag and then player stops suddenly. I have tried other players and videos work fine.

The only major upgrade i did last week was windows 10 update. i downloaded latest version as well but still no clue why it is happening.

Any suggestions!

Any useful updates here? I have this problem too and can't find the solution. Windows 10 seems deliberately designed to annoy users and cause issues with freeware.
