xvid ogm stuttering, core i7 2600k and 16 gigs ram

Postby plasmacutter » 05 Jul 2015 23:43

Hello,

I'm currently trying to play some old xvid ogms and am running across repeated messages of "picture is too late to be displayed"

I currently have caching turned up to 6k milliseconds with no impact.

EDIT:
I've converted the ogm in question to matroska using mkvtoolnix as a test and the playback is now smooth as silk.

This seems to be an issue with the ogm demuxer specifically and not the player having problems digesting the individual streams.

I can convert these files but would like to get the originals working properly, if only as a case study to help other users and the project.

Can you try VLC 3.0.0, please?
